ON MONDAYS WE WEAR SKIRTS
Two full days of traveling and four airplane rides later and we have finally made it to Jeffery’s Bay, South Africa. When we were aquainted with our Ministry Hosts (Wendy & Anita) I was immediately humbled by all that they had done to make us feel welcomed, comfortable, and so taken care of. Taking the first few days to just take it all in and really rest before we started our first week at our Minsitries was such a blessing after all the traveling it took to get here.
Wendy & Anita have been the most intentional and loving mom’s to us especially with being away from home they have adopted us as their own for our time here. Once a week we have the opportunity to be “house wives” as a part of our ministry for our whole team and to our mom host’s, we get to spend the day cleaning, cooking, shopping, dancing around to music in the kitchen, and going on little adventures with our amazing host momma Wendy while rocking it in our skirts. Mason and Isabelle are my house wife Monday buddies and let me just say how grateful I am to spend an entire day with these two lovely women. Monday’s have been one of our favorite days and Wendy has taught us so many things about the culture and the way things are done here and it’s the most beautiful thing to learn about and to adopt little things into our time spent here in Jefferys Bay. Anita & Wendy have not only taught us about the culture or have taken us for coffee and sweet treat runs or mornings spent at the beach, but they have also allowed us to see the real parts of their hearts, the things that drive them and fuel their passions alongside with the things that may hit the heart a little harder. They are both such strong, beautiful, and humble women who have the biggest hearts to serve others and to grow the Lord kingdom. I am honored to be doing life with them and to continue to learn more about South African Culture while making sure to have fun along the way. We love you momma Wendy & Anita!
