Hey guys!
My name is Olivia Flores and to kinda just dive into a little bit about me, I grew up in a family of five which was made up of my parents and two sisters and I fell right in the middle haha. We were homeschooled all the way through and grew up in our big yet small city of Rockford, it’s here that I got plugged into one of our local churches ‘City First’ and that’s where my relationship with the Lord became more solidified. I learned how to have a deeper relationship with Him, the importance of having a solid circle of people, and how to love people in a whole new way. After I graduated in 2017 I had some medical things come to where going to college for my first semester was just not going to be the same, so after 6 months of getting better and LOTS of praying I decided to not go to college and to pursue after photography which was one of my passions that I had figured out while being a part of the media team at my church. The decision to skip out on college definitely brought some hesitation and second guessing not only for my self but for my family as well, but it wasn’t long that doors started opening and opportunities kept presenting themselves and so I decided to trust that and boy am I glad I did. Fast forwarding to 2020 which I think we can all say was QUITE the year, the Lord highlighted the word “missions” on my heart and ‘The World Race’ was a program I had heard of a LONG time ago back when I was in middle school. Now I have never been on a missions trip nor was it ever the right timing but I have always had the desire to go on one and so after a couple of months of praying and doing my due diligence on the program everything sorta just lined up, and it honestly felt like it was meant to be. Now I’m here in this season of preparation leading up to the trip and my heart is nothing but excited and ready for this amazing opportunity!
